Siri is Apple's intelligent voice assistant, built directly into iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple Vision Pro, AirPods, HomePod, and CarPlay. Activated by voice with "Siri" or "Hey Siri," it allows users to complete everyday tasks hands-free, from sending messages and making calls to setting reminders and controlling smart home devices.
With the integration of Apple Intelligence, Siri gains new capabilities designed to make assistance more natural and contextually relevant. Back-to-back requests allow users to issue follow-up commands without repeating the wake phrase, supporting fluid, conversational interactions across supported devices and languages.
Privacy is a foundational element of the Siri experience. Audio from requests is processed on-device using Apple's Neural Engine, meaning it never leaves the device unless the user explicitly chooses to share it. Requests are not linked to the user's Apple Account, and information shared with Siri is never provided to advertisers.
Siri integrates with a wide range of Apple and third-party apps, supporting commands across calls, texts, navigation, music, podcasts, smart home control, sports, TV and movies, fitness, and daily productivity tasks. The Shortcuts app extends Siri's reach further, allowing users to automate complex workflows triggered by voice.
